Summary:

Responsible for overall sales activity within assigned territory of the national sales organization. Drives territory sales, market share penetration, and profitability for all channels through leadership and direction of dedicated sales team and distributor management. Responsible for delivering the annual operating plan in the designated Geography by working through and with Distributor partner(s).

Job Duties:

Educate On and Off Premise Customers on the product. Focus the Distributor on selling the product to the correct accounts and promoting to achieve the proper resale rates. Undertake tasting and presentations to members of the trade and consumers; attend special promotions, such as tastings, dinners, etc. Educate Distributor sales personnel on the Brand Portfolio and the brand standards we expect. Also, create disciples within the Distributor for the brand. Implement local merchandising programs and direct local distributors' activities to achieve the sales and distribution goals set by corporate management. Ensure all sales efforts are in compliance with state laws. Develop and maintain sales contact with all major customers and new prospects. Maintain and expand existing distribution and sales. Ride with distributor sales managers and oversee execution of local sales efforts addressing market problems and opportunities. Ensure region/state to direct their efforts to reflect the new ways of working with Distributor Management, Local Planning, Key Account management and On/Off-Premise initiatives to accelerate change with distributors. Work with Director of Sales and Founders building process which includes accurate forecasting, program planning and deal pattern analysis and price structures. Successfully launch all new products achieving volume and distribution KPI’s as set out by corporate management. Schedule and conduct distributor planning meetings and conducting business reviews four times per year to optimize performance and work within new process, framework and format with Marketing for strategy and market tactics. Responsible for knowledge and utilization of company’s resources including regional marketing funds and distributor contributions. Lead brand pricing, inventory and order entry, depletion reporting, and unsaleables in designated area(s), as appropriate. Extensive knowledge of producing and managing price structures. Ensure compliance with all national account initiatives, including follow up reporting. Call on key accounts and chains in the area to ensure distribution, ordering, programming and proper shelf positioning of brands. Make sure each account On Premise or Off Premise has a sell through to the consumer strategy that is going to be executed and is executed effectively. Develop and execute short- and long-term sales objectives. Work with distributor management and state staff to set up monthly programming and performance evaluation. Maintain accurate records regarding distributor profiles, retail and On/Off-Premise distribution, and competitive activity and pricing. Manage all sales expenses and budgets for state/region. Recruit, train and develop state on-premise, off-premise, channel managers, territory managers, or managers of channel sales and conduct employee reviews by policy. Conduct and ensure quarterly reviews for employee performance reviews and to develop, train and set goals for direct reports and communicate new initiatives for brand goals. This will occur as the business builds and develops. Keep abreast of all laws, regulations and policies that govern market. Keeps management aware of all information pertaining to area of responsibility.

Background Requirements:

On and Off- Premise sales experience. Distributor or Distributor management experience from the Supplier side. Experience selling spirits. Minimum of three (3) years previous professional outside Spirits sales experience required. Three-tier management experience required. Strong On/Off-Premise background Adult Beverage industry experience Passion for people, brands and winning! Creative and able to do work independently with little or no direction.
