Summary:

The Brand Manager is responsible for providing the overall brand marketing and new product development strategy. This is not a single brand management role, this role covers all of the company brands. This role will be the single point of contact for the implementation of the brand strategy and new product development activities. And will also be responsible for developing and managing the brand marketing budget. We are building a brand management team from the ground up, this role is responsible for building the structure and developing the skills of the brand team. You will be on the ground floor of building something spectacular, but you need to be aware that this is a long process. You must have a do-it-yourself attitude and be prepared to rely on yourself and your team’s skills rather than outside agencies. You must be comfortable creating big outcomes using small budgets and in-house resources.

Job Duties:

  • Manages a small, nimble brand management team charged with leading the development of long-term brand strategy for all existing and new brands. This is a brewing first environment so will require teaching brand management skills to non-brand management types such as brewers, production and creative types. • Responsible for growing brand sales, creating and improving brand health measures and improving brand ROI. • Lead development of annual brand marketing plan in conjunction with internal creative team. • Lead development of all brand touch points, including but not limited to package structure and design, trade programming and POS (in collaboration with the Trade Marketing Team), product launch plan (in collaboration with the Content and Experience Team) and sales execution plan. • Coordinate communication and project management between Marketing and Brewing to create the strongest brand portfolio possible • Collaborate with sales and planning to build and deliver brand plan and forecasts. • Assess the current brands in market, create plan to maintain long-term brand success and excitement with craft drinkers. • Stay current with competitive brand activity and the drinker preferences. • Uses insights from in-house research sources to gain a deep understanding of key brands and consumer purchasing behavior. • Collaborate with in-house research team to develop consumer insights to inform strategy and plans. • Build dashboard of metrics to help entire organization understand brand performance (volume, profit, and brand health), track and report quarterly.

Background Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing. MBA preferred. • Minimum of 6-8 years of marketing experience for a consumer packaged goods required, with beer or alcoholic beverage experience strongly preferred. • Must have strong familiarity with craft beer world with working knowledge of its key players and major brand trends. • Demonstrated experience managing a fast growing consumer lifestyle brand. • Excellent analytic skills, experience with IRI a plus. • Project management skills. • Creative development experience
