Summary:

A leading Candy Manufacturer has an immediate opportunity for an experienced and innovative Sales Professional to join its team as a National Sales Representative. This is an excellent opportunity for the right professional. The National Sales Representative will be responsible for sales distribution within an established territory as well as managing key accounts and a broker network. Responsibilities include developing a consistent and profitable growth strategy, which includes growth of existing accounts and insight into opportunities for new accounts. The right candidate will have the ability to quickly become knowledgeable about all products in order to provide direction to Brokers, Retailers and Distributors regarding selling opportunities and obstacles.

Job Duties:

Company Information - Privately owned confectionery business. - Portfolio includes licensed kids’ brands, novelty and seasonal candy. - Business model focused on licensing world-class CPG brands. - Strong penetration in Food, Drug, Mass, Value and specialty channels - In-house manufacturing and assembly capability in Philadelphia - Extensive global sourcing capabilities Responsibilities: • Achieve sales and profitability objectives with an assigned geographic area which includes utilizing both distributor and broker networks. • Proactively manage accounts from product concept to product delivery based on customer business needs, market trends and company goals. • Keep abreast of market conditions, competitors' products, pricing, and performance. • Effective forecasting/planning based on strategic requirements and business model. • Extensive travel (including overnight travel).

Background Requirements:

Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, business or related field - 2+ years of previous sales experience - Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills - Highest level of business ethics and integrity - Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - Computer literate (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) - Able to pass pre-employment testing (drug screen, background check) - Valid driver’s license
